PRONOIA is a stage set by nature — nature that takes over and shapes everything around it. We live inside that nature, we're conscious of it, and we believe it's meant to be shared.
Words fall short when it comes to describing this place. Across from the house, the Caribbean Sea gives us every sunrise, and later becomes home to the moon. Just a few meters out lies the second-largest coral reef in the world — an underwater universe of coral, manta rays, and fish, endless and inviting, equal parts playground and discovery. Behind the house, the jungle takes over, its deep green hiding some of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see.
The night deserves its own mention. Being this remote means there's no light pollution — so on the nights the moon steps aside, the sky fills with shooting stars, constellations, and the odd distant galaxy.
The house sits in El Placer, a residential stretch of coastline 25km from Mahahual.
We have a private beach — and since it's a residential neighborhood, the beaches nearby stay quiet and nearly empty, which only deepens the connection with nature. That mix of sea, sand, stars, jungle, and values makes this a rare setting for memorable events on the shores of the Caribbean.
It's built for retreats, weddings, business seminars, celebrations, and parties — and just as much for a beautiful place to simply vacation.
At the heart of the house is a spacious living room, its large windows facing the sea and opening onto a wide wooden deck right above the sand.
The property has 7 bedrooms in total — 3 in the main house and 4 in separate cottages — plus a large garden with parking.
Two full kitchens give us the flexibility to build a custom menu, whether for a corporate event or a mindful menu for a retreat or ceremony.
Every room and space in the house is modular, so you can arrange the furniture however each event calls for.
As the name suggests, PRONOIA is a beach house — but to us, it means a lot more than that. This is something we built with our own hands. We're two brothers who took on a structure in terrible shape, abandoned for years, the kind of place no one wanted to invest in. But looked at differently, it was a place waiting to shine, however much work it would take.
That's how the adventure started. We didn't have much money, or experience in construction or hospitality. What we did have was patience, time, a real hunger to learn, and an opportunity we weren't going to let pass — and that's what became the space we're proud to share today.
